Cory Hedgecock Motorsports Claims Topless Outlaw Series Championship
Claims Pair of Runner-Up Finishes at I-75 on Sunday

Loudon, Tenn. (11/25/19) – Cory Hedgecock piloted his Cushman No. 23 K&P Used Cars/ Hidden View Lake/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engine Late Model to the Topless Outlaw Dirt Racing Series (TODLMS) championship on Sunday afternoon at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn.

“This was a good weekend for our team,” Hedgecock said. “Started on the pole with a new track record in the TODLMS race and outside pole in the UCRA event in our new car. We fell back but fought and got it going in both. I think we needed less than three laps in both to make it a DAMN good weekend.”

After inclement weather shifted Saturday night’s event to Sunday, Hedgecock entered the TODLMS finale against a strong field of 22. Cory followed up the fastest lap overall in Time Trials (a new track record) with a Dash victory to lock into the A-Main.

Starting on the pole of the $2,500-to-win main event, Hedgecock fell back early before rebounding to a second-place finish behind race winner Chase King. Trevor Sise, Kyle Courtney, and Austin Neely rounded out the top-five.

Cory ended the inaugural season of the TODLMS with six victories on the 11-race tour along with numerous fast-time awards in route to the series championship.

Hedgecock also entered the United Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA portion of Sunday’s event at I-75 Raceway. Cory secured his spot into the A-Main with the second fastest time overall in qualifying behind Jason Welshan.

With $2,000 on the line in the feature, Hedgecock slipped outside the top-five early on before charging back in the 30-lap affair to finish second behind Zach Sise. Kyle Courtney, Jesse Lowe, and John Ownbey trailed them to the finish line.
