I grew up in the era where every car at the track was on an open trailer. Kids could see the cars on the trailers as they head to the track.

Now almost ever car in every class is carried on an enclosed trailer.

We have topless races all over the place. Even though being topless has no effrect on the cars themselves.

So how about an open trailer event. Where EVERY CAR in the event must be hauled to the track on an open trailer.

Would be interesting to see a bunch of cars on open trailers being pulled around town so kids could see them again.

Of course most likely it could only be a stock car event. Sprints, Mods, and late models have become too techical to be able to carry all you need on an open trailer.

Might be your dumbest suggestion of all time. Or close to it. Besides, most likely you wouldn't be there to see it.

Cool, and when they are done maybe we could take the kids to roller skating or to a drive inn movie. Assuming of course they don't have to get up too early in the morning for their paper route.

Interesting that several hundreds members of a racing group spent hours discussing just this idea and the effect of not seeing cars actual cars anymore and it's effect on the kids of today.

So several hundred people believe all of the problems that race tracks have endured will be fixed by having cars brought to the track on open trailers. Those several hundred people must be as delusional as you. Maybe if you got off the couch every now and then and went to a sporting event, your opinion would matter. Arm chair fans contribute nothing to motorsports or any sports forums. You only read about it, seldom experiencing the event.

How bout Christopher Bell wining another stage. Enjoying a triple header in Phoenix and looking forward to watching the action next week at Homestead.

So it was a grand idea when you posted it...until it wasn't. Now that your several hundred 80 year old buddies and their ideas are nearly extinct it must be their fault. Got it.
