I just don't see the aww of TST and how it pulls that much away from the Duck. The track slicks over like ice during hot laps and the racing in like a groove and maybe a half off the bottom. Duck is wide open top to bottom with great racing..

Talledega will attract the guys that having been chasing Series points all year. Not many but several are local cars that would be at Duck if not a conflicting date.

93#1fan, last Sat night the track was racy from the very bottom, the middle and top, not just a groove and a half like you opined. The "awe" of Talladega is just that, it's Talladega. With the big race across the street, the campgrounds next store, the vast amount of vendors and people make it a "happening" where a race breaks out. We will have over 100 Late Models in the pits...……………………….both nights with 2 separate races. Throw in a great crowd with a electric atmosphere, you have a winner.

The track will make a boat load of money, that is why we open the gates.

Now with that being mentioned, I hope the Duck does well, just wish they would set the date of this race and keep it on that date, it bounces around a lot. If it was me. I would not have the date the same as the World or Nascar TST weekend, but each track does what it see's fit and I respect that, best wishes up there.

you may have a good amount of late model cars as a whole, no way you have 100 supers.

With 4 late model divisions there will be over 100. Just not all supers. Nesmith crates will have around 45 both nights. 20 plus Steel Limited, 20 plus Nesmith sportsman and 30 plus supers.
Both tracks will have a good turn out. Duck is getting very pricey though. Seen where parking on back straightaway was $40., ATV $25 and grandstand $35.

I'll be at Duck but I do agree. Nascar weekend at Dega is definitely a must. We went to the April race and made our trip to the Dirt track that Saturday night. Racing was ok, it does slick over alot and get 1 laned, but the experience is great. I would recommend going ahead and buying the pit passes though. As many cars that will be there and as close as you are can stand next to the wall is awesome. I don't think it will hurt the count to much in supers. Crates will take the biggest hit. Duck might lose 4-5 supers but i would say you could easily lose 10-15 crate cars. Still think both tracks will have great weekends. Weather looks nice even if a bit chilly. Good luck everyone at both and most of all BE SAFE!
