It's a yes or no question. Christian scripture dictates that we are to help the poor to the point that we are guaranteed to get paid back for this good deed, EXCEPT, when international borders are involved. Then it's "fuq'em" and get them the hell outta here. Is this the wishes of your God?

Bible calls on us as INDIVIDUALS to help the poor. Does not mention government taking from one group to give to another.

Your giving to the poor with someone else's money does not fit Biblical teachings. The Bible specifically speaks against many of these government programs. When it say those who will not work shalt not eat.

Quote:

Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

It seems like the "Christians" on this board don't believe the above quote anymore than the atheists. What's with these fractures in today's Christian faith. Or has it always been this way, that Christian values are to be followed so long as it's convenient?

So if Jesus Christ returned to this Earth today, would he be standing on the southern border with a whip in his hand chasing back illegals?

A lot of those "Christians" lost their claim to be the moral authorities on Election Day 2016. They mock religion more than they follow it.

Lol. The bible CLEARLY says that if you help the poor, the Lord will repay you. It's obvious they don't really believe that, otherwise they wouldn't be obsessed with a wall. They would be welcoming all poor immigrants so they could collect their reward.

Fortunately there are a lot of real Christians who are kind, respectful, protect those who need protection, and don't pass moral judgment disguised as religious faith. But those Christians rarely seem to frequent this message board.

Oh, right. We should have voted for the lady who advocates ripping unborn babies from the mother's womb. The lady who tried to ruin the lives of her husband's victims. Get it through your thick, libtard skull, I didn't vote for the man, I voted for the policy and it is working out perfectly. With the recent SCOTUS nominee pick, and RBG soon to retire, our religious freedoms and 2nd amendment rights will be protected for a generation. I almost feel sorry for you libtards. MAGA.

They do not understand the concept of "INDIVIDUALS". They are pretty much indoctrinated, socialistic communist. They worship liberal politicians, and strive for a new world order where all human beings live the same life of existence, and same life of dependence on the politicians they worship. Scary, huh?

So, do you believe in the accuracy of Proverbs 19:17, or do you believe it's a bunch of BS. If you believe it's accurate, then why do you not support its implementation at the southern border? Asking for a God fearing Christian conservative

If you folks didn't vote for "the man," why do you all insist on defending "the man" every time he's called out for his personal behavior unrelated to "the policy"?

Prove me wrong right now by condemning "the man" for his personal attacks on individuals, his comments about women and his overall personal behavior. And you should have no problem with that, because it has nothing to do with "the policy" that you support.

I'll wait ...

Right now, they're doing a massive amount of googling trying to find some scripture which absolves them from Proverbs 19:17.

Or they'll bring up the 'interpretation' argument. You know. Which ever one fits their view. Rolling Eyes

I'm sure that whatever they come up with will be as laughable as trying to claim that a pressure cooker is a WMD.
