Butch Shay Memorial at Richmond Raceway up next for ULTIMATE BoB, $35,000 up for grabs

Carnesville, Georgia – The ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series heads to Richmond Raceway for the Butch Shay Memorial weekend July 6th and 7th. The Prelude to the Butch Shay Memorial will be held Friday, July 6th, paying $3,000 to win in a 30-lap feature. On Saturday July 7th the Butch Shay Memorial will pay $5,000 to win and $400 to start. The total purse for the weekend is over $35,000.

Kent Robinson of Bloomington, IN currently leads the ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series points, posting an average finish of third in the series’ first two events. Chad Stapleton of Edinburgh, IN is currently second, just two points behind Robinson. Austin Burns, Jason Jameson, and Jared Bailey round out the top five.

Friday night’s race at Richmond Raceway will be the final cut-off for drivers wishing to compete for the 2018 ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series championship, which pays $5,000 to win and is a $10,000 total points fund, paying through the top five.

Each night of the Butch Shay Memorial will see one lucky driver take home two cases of Professional Grade racing oil as part of the contingency program with VP Racing Lubricants. The fastest overall qualifier will select a pill 1-24 to determine which finishing position will take home the oil.
