|TCIŽ 29.2 Flexplates For GM LS & BBC/SBC Applications Offer Unmatched Durability
Ashland, MS Two new high-strength flexplates are available for some of the most popular engines from General Motors.
Heavy-duty billet flexplates from TCIŽ are like no other option on the market. An LS version is designed for GM Gen III and Gen IV engines, while another part number is specifically for Big and Small Block Chevy applications. These onepiece, SFI-certified 29.2 components are made from a CNC-machined 4140 forging with a hobbed-on ring gear and can withstand more than 12,000 RPM. The flexplates are gas-nitrided for extra surface hardness and strength, and then ecoated for corrosion protection. Lightening holes reduce rotating mass and drop the overall weight. The LS option features laser-welded converter spacers and weighs 7.6 pounds, while the internally balanced BBC/SBC version comes in at 6.8 pounds. Each design features multiple bolt patterns and is exclusive to TCIŽ.
When TCIŽ opened its doors in 1968, it was a modest operation dedicated to delivering high performance transmission-related parts to a small group of drag racers. From those humble beginnings in Memphis, TN, TCIŽ has grown to be one of the largest and most technologically advanced manufacturers of high performance aftermarket drivetrain products. Now located in Ashland, MS, some 45 miles from parent company the COMP Performance Group, TCIŽ continues to set trends and expand its line of quality transmission, torque converter and accessory parts.
