His Excellency
Kim Jong Un
Chairman of the State Affairs Commission
of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea
Pyongyang

Dear Mr. Chairman:
We greatly appreciate your time, patience, and effort with respect to our recent negotiations and discussions relative to a summit long sought by both parties, which was scheduled to take place on June 12 in Singapore. We were informed that the meeting was requested by North Korea, but that to us is totally irrelevant. I was very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting. Therefore, please let this letter serve to represent that the Singapore summit, for the good of both parties, but to the detriment of the world, will not take place. You talk about nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.
I felt a wonderful dialogue was building up between you and me, and ultimately, it is only that dialogue that matters. Some day, I look very much forward to meeting you. In the meantime, I want to thank you for the release of the hostages who are now home with their families. That was a beautiful gesture and was very much appreciated.
If you change your mind having to do with this most important summit, please do not hesitate to call me or write. The world, and North Korea in particular, has lost a great opportunity for lasting peace and great prosperity and wealth. This missed opportunity is a truly sad moment in history.
Sincerely yours,
Donald J. Trump
President of the United States of America

This makes no sense. It says he is cancelling the meeting then he ends by saying that if Kim Jung Un changes his mind (thus suggesting that Kim cancelled it) then I (Trump) would still like to meet.

Hey, I predicted this outcome TWICE on this board a couple of days after this sham "summit" was announced. This amateur hour administration really is so easy to see through, because Trump's routine is always the same: Stoke fear on Twitter, promise the base yuuuuge results, fail to do anything, blame the other side, forget it ever happened.

Obama got 11 prisoners released. How many for Trump?

Go back to the night when the South Korean entourage was sent out to meet with the press corps at the White House and announced that a meeting with the North Koreans and the djt administration had been planned. This was totally incredible news as the State Department, the Pentagon or anyone else had been notified about this meeting. The lil' djt had no clue whatsoever about what a meeting at this level would entail. He did not appreciate the width, depth and length of his own preparation for such a meeting. He handled it like his Chief of Staff General Kelly predicted. A moron. But he didn't lose a single vote from his base. That would be about 20% to 30% of the voting population. Thankfully he became convinced of his own ineptitude and abilities to understand what he was getting himself into and cancelled the summit. We'll see where it goes from here. Call me, maybe indeed. LMAO.

And the investigations continue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Timeline of past two weeks.

Un goes back on agreement and cancels meetings with S Korea.

Trump promptly cancels meetings with N Korea.

Un suddenly changes his mind and meets again with S Korean President.

Looks as if talks between Trump and Un may be back on again.

If the summit takes place I hope lil' djt remembers to bring in a few professionals and allow them to take on the big work. Lil' djt has proven time and time and time again that he has no skills in international relationships and absolutely no interests in acquiring the knowledge necessary to make intelligent choices.

Advanced team already in Singapore.

Kim Jong-Un tried to test Trump.

Trump called his bluff and Kin Jong-un caved.

Right now Kim Jung Un is playing lil' donnie like a poorly tuned violin. This will not end up well for either of them.

Jong-Un got a quick lesson as to how a strong President reacts to his BS compared to that of a weak President.

Thought he could play games as he had with Obama but Trump surprised him and Jong-Un quickly realized that and changed his mind about not meeting with S Korea again.

Any face to face meeting and subsequent agreements between the djt and Kim Jong In will result in placing the USA in a terrible position to be able to continue any credible negotiations with any other nation. I wish them the best but I set the bar awfully low in that forecast.
