Byram, MS – ASCS Sprint Car Series officials along with Jackson Motor Speedway officials have made the decision to cancel 3rd Annual King of the Wings scheduled for Friday and Saturday night. The decision was made today based on most forecast models predicting rain to move in Friday night between 10:00pm and midnight and continuing until early Sunday morning. “This event is built up to be a 2 day action packed weekend of sprint car racing and the weather just isn’t going to corporate with our plans,” commented track co-owner Raymon McAlpin.
“Our staff both on the PR side and the track prep side have worked their tails off the last few weeks for this event so I want to thank them for their hard work and hopefully a make-up date will be found for the King of the Wings weekend,” state track co-owner Joey Moak.
ASCS and Jackson Motor Speedway officials are looking at potential make up dates for this event and an announcement will be made soon.
Jackson Motor Speedway will be back in action on Saturday night April 28th.
