Watch some early morning TV today and they were showing Grand Prix. Movies wise it was a decent representation of the life styles of drivers or at least what Hollywood vision of their lifestyle.

Final race of the season they ran on the old Monza circuit and of course they had to have the obligatory death of the aging former champion scene.

It was interesting to see the old course in play with it's two high banked turns and the cross over portion where another portion of the track crosses underneath one of the high banked turn sections.

Wonder how today's drivers and teams would react if they had to run this former course instead of the modern one. Could today's cars handle the stress of those high speed high banked turns where the cars suspension basically bottom out due to the centripetal force.
