Carnesville, GA – Corey Almond of Appomattox, VA and Trey Watson of Weston, WV have won their respective Regions in the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Series Futures Cup points.  The FASTRAK Futures Cup is a points system for FASTRAK Member drivers that start the season under the age of 20-years-old.
 
Almond who drives a Longhorn chassis sponsored by Ditchwitch, Cecil B Arthur Farms and Booper Bare Racing, won the FASTRAK Future Stars Cup in the Southeast region. Almond picked up a feature win in his number 7A on August 19th at Tyler County Speedway. He finished the season with 634 points by way of four top fives and twelve top ten finishes. He turned 20 on May 29th, beginning the season at 19-years-old. Almond bested Brent Hilton of Rural Retreat, VA, Slyvan Schuette of Blairsville, GA, and Camden Testerman of Sandston, VA to claim the Southeast region FASTRAK Future Stars Cup.
 
Watson, who drives a Rocket chassis sponsored by Sam Watson Trucking, won the FASTRAK Future Stars Cup in the Mid-Ohio Valley region. Watson piloted his number T17 machine to two top fives and eleven top ten finishes, collecting 743 points in 2017. He was 18-years-old to being the season and celebrated his 19th birthday on August 30th. He was able to beat Garrett Jones of Buckhannon, WV, Brandon Weigle of Middlebourne, WV, Chuck Kimble of Rayland, OH, Michael Duritsky of Masontown, PA, and Kaitlyn Frazier of Mt. Clare, WV in the Mid-Ohio Valley FASTRAK Future Stars Cup battle.
 
Corey Almond and Trey Watson will both receive $1,250, a jacket, and a trophy at the Annual FASTRAK Awards Banquet in January. The FASTRAK Awards banquet is open to anyone who would like to attend. Details on the banquet will be announced in the coming weeks.
