FASTRAK Weekly and Divisional Points cutoff approaching

Carnesville, GA – The points cutoff for all FASTRAK Weekly and Divisional points is set for Labor Day, September 4th. Drivers who are competing for Weekly and Divisional Championships will have until Monday to collect points toward those totals. Each driver will use their best fifteen finishes toward the championship points. Once a driver has reached fifteen events, their finishes begin to replace a lower finish from earlier in the season. While the points are ending for FASTRAK, track points can continue past Labor Day and is up to each individual track.

Not only do the points end on Labor Day, it is also the last day drivers will be able to add races towards the ten race minimum to be eligible for the World Challenge. The World Challenge is a $5,000 to win, $300 to start FASTRAK members-only event on Friday, September 15th at Virginia Motor Speedway. FASTRAK members are required to have competed in a minimum of ten FASTRAK Weekly or Touring events to be eligible.

Those who are concerned with meeting that requirement are encouraged to participate in the East Coast Rumble, September 1st through 3rd. Each race of the East Coast Rumble will count as two races toward the ten required. This is not an opportunity for double points, but to allow those drivers needing to pick up extra races to do so. The East Coast Rumble kicks off September 1st at 311 Speedway. The FASTRAK Racing Series will then head Tyler County Speedway on September 2nd. The East Coast Rumble concludes on September 3rd at Wythe Raceway.
