For the ninth annual Cajun Clash on Friday at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) on Friday evening, Ramirez advanced two spots in his heat race to pick up the win. Continuing his upward trend in the feature, Dereck gained two positions to finish fourth. He trailed Terry Phillips, Tanner Mullens, and Rodney Sanders across the line.
For the weekend finale on Saturday at Revolution Park (Monroe, La.), Dereck won his heat race to earn the sixth-starting spot for the feature. He would charge to the lead on lap 25 and led until the final lap when Dustin Sorensen was able to sneak by in lapped traffic to grab the win. Ramirez. He followed Dustin Sorensen across the line with Tanner Mullens, Jake Timm, and Jake O’Neil rounding out the Top-5.
