Kinda confused, possible weather issues and high heat puts the kabosh on the SAS race and now a regular show is on tap. Just curious, hope the Mag has a good show.

This makes not sense at all! Why would you still do a regular show and cancel the SAS show? A PR was put out that cancelled the SAS show due to uncertainty with weather and high heat but now you are going to do a regular show! So you can't run the SAS show but you can run the regular show! I guess the weather is going to be ok to do that, race fans screwed again!

We Magnolia Motor Speedway said, we would run a weekly show IF weather permits. SAS cancelled early due to weather forecast for teams to make other plans. And WE haven't had many weekly shows, so IF the weather permits we will run a weekly show.[/img]

The Information posted by SASRACE on this Forum, July 9th at 11:01 a.m.. Did Not say anything about the MAG possibly running a Regular show on July 13th.! This could be a Reason as to why your Customer's are Upset? Most Importantly: What about the Health and Wellness regarding your Regular Customer's? Not to mention, your own Track worker's? It's still going to be Hot!!!

We were going to race at Magnolia this weekend as well as many of the drivers we talked to last weekend at Thunderhill SAS race. I did not say anything when the the event was cancelled Tuesday and I could see the weather was going to be a problem and yes it is good to know early that the race is gonna be cancelled, but after to talking to some of the area race teams they are mad as this is the only race that pays decent money for the supers that they would not have to compete against the national drivers as it would be mainly regional event for some good money, but now that is gone

I for one appreciate The Mag trying to run a regular show for the locals. Johnny Stokes does a very good job in making decisions and I support this one. Rain chances are high for the weekend but at least they are trying. We will be there weather permitting

Magnolia had a regional $3,000-to-win, MSCCS Super Late Model race two weeks ago and on Labor Day weekend there is a $3,000-to-win, COMP Cams Super Dirt Series event that will feature regional talent. Thus this was not the only regional race that pays decent on the track's 2019 schedule.

Ben I will have to disagree with you on purse money, the Comp Cams and State races only pay $3,000 to win and $300 to start with a total of around $15,000 give or take, the SAS purse if over $17,000 pay $4,000 to win $400 to start so it gives us a better deal purse wise with SAS

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series event pays $400 to start. Everybody has their own opinions, but I think a $3,000-to-win/ $400-to-start regional Super Late Model purse is pretty nice.

Which team are you with?

Thanks!
