May be in the best interest of Riverside to proactively reach out to the new administration. For 68 years the track has existed with only occasional opposition. But with strong support from local government due to it's economic impact.

The city has decided to take a new direction with the election of a new mayor. Many of those who voted for the new mayor in the run off also supported Herman Coleman for years. The new mayor may be more likely to listen to the small group of complaints due to his being obligated to the anti track supporters.

Would be good business for the track management to make the first move and reach out to the new administration and let them know the track is willing to work with the city and take an active part in the West Memphis community.

You know for a fact that communication between them has not started?

If anything, it would be smart of the track to impose a curfew on itself. Since you run on Saturdays, then start earlier and get the races over at an earlier hour. The track could be doing that for all I know, but if they're running until 2 a.m. on some shows then that can be a problem.
